No Park hopping disney ticket questions

We have a disney ticket for 2 days, but no Park hopping (2 day ticket with admission to 1 Park per day officially). We plan to spend one day in AK and 1 day in MK.

Would it theoretically be possible to go to MK in the morning, pop over to Disney Springs or out to a resort for lunch, then return to the MK for evening fireworks? Or would that use both tickets up or just not let us back in?

Probably a silly question but I've never had this type of ticket before!

You can go back into the same park again that evening, just not another park.
Just so you know, if you are driving, getting in and out of the magic kingdom takes ages, so be sure to factor that in -about 20 to 40 minutes to get from your car , onto the monorail or ferry, through security into the park.

Can I leave the car at one Park in the middle of the day and use disney transport, say we were just going to the Polynesian or some resort on the monorail?

Yes no problem, if you haven't been before MK is slightly different to the other parks in TTC is one end of Bay lake & the park is at the other with the MK resorts in between so you don't actually use your pass until the turnstiles outside MK. You can basically go anywhere but in another park.

You can enter and leave one park per day as many times as you like.
You can also leave you car parked on the car park all day from opening till closing.
You are also entitled to travel free on Disney transport to and from resorts and Dusney springs.
