Buying golf clubs...
The DS(18) has been bitten by the golf bug, and is at present using an old set of clubs that I used hack about with. So a couple of questions.
1. Are sets of clubs that much cheaper to buy in Florida? 2. Where would you recommend? 3. Any problems transporting back? (Via Virgin) |

We bought our son a set of Ping i3 a few years back at Edwin Watts on I drive. They were definately cheaper and we had no problem bringing them back although we did have to by a travel case as well. We were flying Airtours PG so I dont think you will have a problem with virgin.
Off course your will probably exceed your duty free allowance lol Dawn

DH part exchanged his clubs when we went last year. He did actually play a couple of rounds before we came home so they were actually 'used'.

Clubs are extremely cheap over there in fact on a set I just ordered from the states even after shipping Duty and VAT I still saved around £200.
If you get collared for the Duty its 3.5% + Vat for golf clubs. Edwin watts have about 4 stores in the Orlando and are probabley the best store I've visited although there are many others to try. Might be worth checking out the Edwin Watts website before you go to get an idea of prices and what you might be saving. edwinwattsgolf/
