The Everglades

Hi Guys,

I'm sorry because I know this question probably features a million times over somewhere on this forum but I just can't seem to find it.

Anyway we are headed to Florida for two weeks at the end of September and one member of the group really wants to go to the everglades... how long is the trip down? it's probably way to far to go in one day and back, is it?

Any help would be much appreciated.

From the Kissimmee area you are looking at a 4 hour plus drive, IMO not a day trip.

Indeed. We're planning to do this but we're doing three weeks so we can spend a few nights in the south on the third week.

IMHO The Everglades are always worth a visit and a little overnight stop.

We went to the Everglades on a day trip 7 years ago we left at 6 a.m and got back at midnight it was a long day but worth it so yes you can do it in a day and I think there is an option for an overnight stay
