Car Hire and Partner's CC

We have some friends heading over to MCO next week and are looking to hire a car.

However, only one of them have a Credit Card and it is the one who is going to be driving.

Can the driver use their partner's credit card to pay when they pick up the car, or would they have to add the CC holder as a driver ( which they don't want to do as she is under 25)

Any help would be really appreciated.

I think you have a typo as something doesn't read right? You say only one has a credit card and they are driving, then you mention the driver using the partners card?

Firstly do they have a Debit Card with the Visa or M/Card logo? If so they can pay on that no problems at all.
Secondly why not pre pay here as it will be cheaper normally.

Come back if I'm not making sense!

Sorry, it probably didn't make sense.

Man is driving and over 25.
Woman has credit card and is under 25.

So they were hoping to use the man's debit card and not have a massive hold put on it.

Ahh now I understand. He can book and pre pay on his Debit Card. He uses the same Card as he exits the barrier. there will probably be a $250 hold as its not a Credit card.
