I still wouldn't use a car seat that wasn't my own. You have no way of knowing what has happened to that seat before

I missed the 2yrs piece. We've always taken our seats with us in our own hire-car (now just take boosters in luggage).

Given the regulations, interested to see how taxi's/uber cope with families with small children as accepting them without having a car-seat available could put them in a difficult spot should there be an accident.

We are just going to take the one she will outgrow a month or so after the trip and leave it there and buy a new one coming back universal have stated that they will store large items in their lost and found dept as long as we sign a release to say we have put it there and have valid id with current address on it just in case
