Hotel walking distance of LHR terminal 3

I keep reading there are no hotels walking distance to T3 at Heathrow, actually there is. The Hilton Garden Inn at Terminal 2 has a tunnel to Terminal 3, easy walk.

Yes it has been open just under a year - here is a link to a review from Head for Points

Yes, annoyingly it opened a few weeks after we last flew from Heathrow. I really like hotel options I can walk from because it removes any surprise elements in terms of travel time!

I had a feeling there was another one being built to service T3 but may be wrong. I know land at Heathrow is scarce.

There is also the Aerotel which is built into T3.

Is this the same theory as the bloc hotel at Gatwick?

Wondering which is the best option as we normally stay in the Premier Inn at Gatwick? We preferred the Premier to the Sofitel and Hilton.

Which terminal are you flying from?

Not that that needs to matter but would make a difference to my recommendation.

I think we’ve stayed at at least 20 different hotels at LHR over the years and we tend to just go for a reasonably cheap one, have had some good deals on Hotwire over the years. Always try and spend £40 a night except once or twice I’ve been at the Sofitel (AMAZING) through work. Perfect for T5 and much better than the Gatwick Sofitel.

Flying to MCO with Virgin hopefully but not till Oct next year, so I take it that will be Terminal 3. We like being able to walk to the Terminal in the morning.
