Mobile United pics?

Hi.

Thinking about trying United for the first time next year (edi-ewr-mco). Anyone have any pics of the inside of the plane or experiences to share?

Thanks

Plane is a standard 3-3 seat configuration 757-200, nothing special, nothing dreadful. Rows 29 and back are the free to select ones once your tickets have been issued by whoever booked them. 22-28 are the preferred ones, think they're about $30 each to pre select and 7-21 are the economy plus ones, from $140. I've been bumped upto economy plus courtesy of work, but given there's 5 of us i'm not sure I'd weigh in with $1400 return for the extras they provide.

I've used the service a few times now, and it's fine. Better than the Chicago one ( shorter flights) but dunno about their Washington service. They're all the same aircraft.

Done Birmingham-Newark-Orlando more than 20x times. Newark is great as a large airport with 10-20 desks open for immigration. I have waited 2 hours, but usually 10 mins is normal. I have global entry and brother doesn't and he's usually through in about the same time as me.

Flights are good, individual TVs with 60+ movies, power under the seat, wine and beer included. As far as I know you get free seat selection in economy but you can upgrade to the front of economy, economy plus and now a half way between economy plus and business class.

We always fly United do that we have gold status. Gets us usually 1+ free transatlantic flights per year

Don't have any pictures but have used this route a few times before. It was always my preferred route but seemed to become much more expensive in recent years. ( when I have been looking anyway) The seat configuration was always two rows of three. You can choose your seats free of charge.

We just paid Ł368 Heathrow-Newark-Orlando on 27th Aug - 12 Sept. Thought that was good apart from the Ł300 taxi to London but 3 of us so cheaper than flying Ł591 out of Manchester

Don't book straight away. United don't generally follow the 11 month in advance rule. I'd say 9 months is when the best fares get released.

You can do that for far less (Economy plus upgrade) one of you buys the upgrade for a year and selects to have up to 6 other people with them, I cant remember the cost but it was cheaper for us to do that than upgrade three of us. its $1299 for a year for you and upto 8 people united/ual/en/us/sub...chase/offersep
