Mobile Universal hotel help

Hi
Looking for 4 Nights universal next August.
Was looking at RPR for express passes, am planning 2.5 days universal and 1 day volcano bay.

Cabana bay is coming out lots cheaper, would you stay there based on that itinerary or stick to RPR to get the passes. ?

Many thanks

- When in August? Early August and the parks will still be crowded, so the FOTLP passes would be a great advantage. Late August (just before schools go back) and the parks would be quiet...like yesterday's walk on's.
- Does proximity matter? Meaning, from RPR you can walk or take the boat ferry to CityWalk, IOA and US. VB you would still need to take a short bus.
- RPR has a wonderful pool. Cabana Bay has a nice pool too... but I think RPR is a little more laid back.

You have two good options to pick from. Really comes down to how much the FOTLP passes are worth to you. If you are going anywhere near Labor Day Weekend here in the States, I would go RPR.

Welcome back Bondy lad. Hope you all had a great time.

Lovely meeting you all.

How did club go in the private dining room?

I’m here now I would get the passes, yes it’s not as busy as last week but it’s a lot easier to do the parks with the folp.

I was in Universal at Aventura 17th Aug-20th. Over the weekend. Just went in for opening for a few hours and then the last few hours in the evening. Didn't queue longer than 20 mins for anything. Did VB one morning, which was amazing. First time for me without the express passes. If you're going mid to late august then i'd save the money. Early August, go for RPR.

We stayed in cabana Bay when we went in Sept 2015 - highly recommend the hotel if passes aren't needed due to quietness etc, loads to do & regular buses to the parks.

We were there a couple of weeks ago, nice to be back in the lounge

OP - Definitely worth getting the passes in the August heat if you can stretch to RPR

Without a shadow of a doubt do RPR for the passes. We were there for 2 nights, 17-19th august this year (at HRH though) and literally walked on everything. As much as I would love to stay at Sapphire falls and Cabana bay, I couldn’t go without the express passes. Have been spoilt!

It’s 21-25 aug. 5 of us, cabana bay rooms wins. Express pass for parks and easy transport is tempting. Kids say express passes required

Why not split it? Do one night RPR for the express passes whereby you’ll get all the headliners done without waiting, and then book into Cabana Bay for the other three nights...
