International drive
First time staying in I drive where do you guys stay? Would like breakfast included if possible but only if it works out cheaper than eating on IDrive. Family of 4, if poss no external corridors but that’s not a deal breaker! If there are any 1 beds that you can recommend even better
Trying for a budget trip so can go again lol

I recommend Pointe Orlando, it’s the nicer part of international drive. There’s a few hotels in that area and loads of places to eat. I’ve stayed at The Hampton Inn there and Rosen Inn Pointe Orlando. Got free breakfast at Rosen Inn but was not impressed so just went to IHOP every day.
Both hotels were nice and the main deal breaker was the location! Easy enough to get about and the Iride trolley stops right outside both. The Hampton Inn had more of a hotel feel as corridors were inside the building. Rosen Inn has outside corridors as it’s such a big hotel and I think this one may be a slightly cheaper option! The 'suite' hotels will give you what you want i.e. Homewood, Embassy and Sonesta. All have 1 and a few 2 bed suites and free hot breakfast buffet included. Embassy Suites includes snacks and a free full bar for 2 hours in the evening.

If it’s budget you’re after then I doubt you’ll beat Rosen Inn @Pointe. It’s a fab location and, for the price, a great hotel. It does however have external corridors.
We’ve stayed three times and couldn’t fault it. Never eaten breakfast there though (we always head to Denny’s or share a Cinnabon etc.). We stayed at Sonesta Es suites once and they were fantastic. Lovely, modern apartment and great free breakfast but much more expensive than Rosen. |

Embassy Suites - there are 2 on I Drive both in great locations. You get a buffet breakfast and some free beer at night. If you are looking at eating a decent sized breakfast and then just one meal in the afternoon rather than breakfast / lunch / dinner, this is a good option.
Rosen Inn International or Rosen at Pointe are good budget options without breakfast included. Buy some cereal from Walmart and eat it in the room if you just want a light breakfast and two meals later in the day. Location wise you want to stay anywhere between Rosen Plaza and Rosen International. Since the development of the Orlando 360 that part of I Drive has some great restaurants. If you can get |

Keep checking Embassy - we got a really good deal on it for August
Rosen Plaza is nicer than the Pointe and International. Pool is much better, internal corridors and a nicer hotel. If you can get a good deal on that one, excellent choice. Rosen Centre is as good as the Plaza - slightly further out but still close enough to main area. Again if you can get a good deal it is a really nice hotel. |

How much was your rate for Embassy for me it’s something like £180pn. We would normally stay in a villa but are doing the Seaworld/DC combo which is in the area and i thought to split it and be more local to these attractions and DH can have a beer as he wouldn’t be driving! Also wouldn’t have to drive to go for tea! However want to stay somewhere that’s got a pool and we don’t feel like we have lost too much by not being in a villa.
How much more is the Plaza worth vs the pointe one at the min pointe is £49 and Plaza about £90.

We paid £75 a night at Embassy
Re Plaza v Pointe - I wouldn't pay £40 a night more. We stayed at Plaza a few years ago for £50 a night. Keep checking the main booking sites as you should be able to get it for around £60 - if you are going to spend a lot of time in the hotel pool I would pay the extra. Keep checking Pointe and International as well - should be able to get one of those for around £40 a night. Book the cheapest of those as they are basically the same (aside from location but both are in good locations) |
