Dad shakes off type two diabetes
My dad , now aged 84, developed type two diabetes about 8 years ago, he was very ill and ended up having to have a complete lifestyle change, from being obese, no exercise etc etc
He lost all the weight, bought a few dogs Up until early last year he was on insulin, after a review he was put on tablets, today he’s completely off the meds, no diabetes and for an 84 year old relatively fit. Just goes to show it can be reversed with effort and will power Edited at 09:00 PM. |

My husband is one point of reversing type 2 diabetes. He went from 54 to 42 in a few months by eating right and has lost 3 stone.

He’s done really well to lose weight and get his diabetes into remission especially at his age when motivation can be lower for weight loss.

That made me laugh out loud
He said that the diabetic event he had scared him and he’s determined to live to 100 He gets so angry with my SIL who has type two diabetes and does absolutely nothing about it just get bigger and more unhealthy. He wrote out his diet for her, the only bit she took note of was have mars bars or coke in the house in case of hypoglycaemia. Which she took to mean just eat mars bars and coke |
