Birmingham airport fire

My daughter has just landed at Birmingham from Rome and can’t get off the plane - this is why:

Why do people always moan about getting info ? The alarms are sounding, the airports priority is to get everyone out as quickly as possible.
It's not as though they are going to miss their flight etc... as that will all be sorted out.

I remember one alarm and this annoying woman refused to leave the lounge as she was tired !

I would just want to be safe. My daughter wants to get home, but she knows they’re being kept onboard for their own safety.

The last one I was evacuated from and we had to stand under a plane on the apron for 25 mins was because a member of staff in the old Shakespeare bar had left a muffin cooking in the microwave and it smoked.

I agree, the person should have been denied travel and fined.

Happened to us at Gatwick last year we were in the BA lounge again a smoker in the toilet he was escorted out by security but jeez the amount of grumbling by folks was unbelievable
Alarm went I picked our flight bags Poor DH was in the shower
But he shifted his butt and got out ASAP as well
We were out side 30 mins and DH evacuated in a completely different area from me
Staff were great though they could tell me he was outside

It was all cleared up quite quickly in the end, so she wasn’t too delayed.
