what colour are the rooms in your neighbours house painted?

if all neutral then it could be worth investing in your house and painting to look similar

It was not something I really worried about when I was looking to move. For me it was always about the big stuff.
Boiler age, windows, structure, bathrooms and kitchen. Plus in an area I wanted.

I've been here 2 years and haven't done very much yet but just doing the upstairs main bedroom in yellow and grey.

I think we’re okay on the big stuff - boiler was new last year, bathroom was new last year, roof replaced in 2017, front door new in 2016 and kitchen is not new but looks alright and still has plenty of life.

When I look at it like that I wonder why we’d move. But hubby wants a garage and it would be nice to be in a detached, currently in a mid terrace.

For me I’m not fussed, I can see past paint colour. However there are also a lot of people out there who can’t. Especially if someone wants to buy it to rent out etc.

If it’s not a massive job for you then I would paint it neutral (grey or white) and at least then it’s a neutral palette for anyone wanting to buy.

Neutral colours can make rooms look bigger than darker colours
