I always Chuck trainers in the wash, fabric or leather. Never had any problems.

Washing machine then CIF cream cleaner on the rubber. It brings the white bits up like new with no effort at all.

I wash all our trainers, in pillowcase with a hair tie like Collette said!

I use magic sponge around sole and letter or plastic material. Then put in washing machine with towels.
I do it with every type of trainer the really expensive yeezy and cheaper converse. Works a treat.
