To be honest I initially said myself I wouldn’t want to go if there’s mask wearing, now I’m not bothered at all if it means I can get there

That seems very high especially as they have lots of t&cs for covid.
When did you book it?

I booked outside the dates they've allowed for their covid free change dates so as it stands its 70 per cent of the amount I paid in order to amend!

It’s been said the earliest they might remove the mask rule is October but others have said it will more then likely be until early 2022. It’s not just Florida vaccine speed it is the whole country and then I am sure they will bring in a vaccine proof scheme

Yeah, we had the same issue, they, TUI, wanted a £1700 fee to amend ours when we wanted to. (We wanted to amend when the quarantine came in, our youngest is autistic and wouldn't be able to handle it)
We basically took a "wait and see" attitude, our flights were for 25th June.
They only recently changed so we could amend them for free, interesting we turned our flight only booking to Florida into an all inclusive booking in mallorca! We couldn't do that last year!
We already had flights booked for next year because they were a good price.

What was so crazy, was when I phoned them (i
Beginning of feb) I could have booked flights with them the day before, in December, THE NEXT DAY, the same flights I had, in a lockdown no less! And I would have been able to amend them for free, but because i had booked them like last summer (when we all thought we would be out this) I needed to pay stupid money to change them.

They may change their terms closer to the time depending on what happens. We really don’t know when we will be able to travel to the states yet.

Thats not what I reading on their website!

Its states that it is £50 per person but you have to pay the difference in price

I've not seen that? Perhaps that is the covid amendment they've done but unfortunately I booked outside of the dates they're allowing it for

I checked my booking a few weeks back (I booked in September, so outside the covid free amend dates) and I'm sure the T & Cs said it would be classes as a cancellation. Just checked again, and they now say that you just pay £50 pp amendment fee. I just did a dummy amendment online and it looks like if I change to 2022 its £200 to change. I might give them a ring to double check though, but it might be worth checking your booking again?
