Masks optional in publix

Just seen a news report stating from today masks are optional at publix if you are vaccinated but no info on how or if they are going to check this.

Am sure I read it’s illegal for businesses to ask for proof of vaccination

I’ve read that Publix are big contributors to the GOP, so I’m not surprised at this, given the political situation.

Out of interest are kids exempt or will it be a case of kids with masks on and adults mask free?

No masks required for anyone (adult or kids). No one will ask or check or care. Feel free to wear a mask if you feel more comfortable with it, and no one will care about that either.

I have been to numerous shops, restaurants, Universal and 2 hotels recently. I can confirm that plenty of people are still wearing masks but no one is monitoring vaccination status etc. There are plenty of kids without masks who obviously haven't been vaccinated. It is purely up to the individual guest. HOWEVER the vast majority of places in the Orlando area still have all staff wearing masks.
