Will buffets return to Disney?
Interested to hear everyone’s thoughts on this? I know a lot of people don’t enjoy them but we like the variety.

I don't think they'll return to character dining, since they know they'll get the bookings either way and family style is cheaper for them. But I could see buffets like Boma returning - at least for dinner. They could probably do plated at breakfast since there's not as much on offer.

I think they will but maybe not all. A buffet has returned to one of the character meals in Disneyland California.

I reckon they will return, they were very popular, buffets are starting to return everywhere else,I don't see why Disney will be any different.

Looks like Boma is reopening later this week as a buffet 🙂

I would prefer them to be served to you - so food behind plexiglass, ask for what you want, the CM serves it and you don’t touch the plate until you have all you want.
I know it is more work for the CMs and not as nice for us uptight Brits having to ask. But even before Covid, buffets were never the most hygienic way to serve food. Just thinking of all those little kids with sticky fingers and adults with dodgy hygiene…

Looking at the menu, while there might be a dozen or so items, I really only see what would translate to about four or five different plated dishes. Which isn't a huge range compared to the dinner service - note I said "not as much" rather than not much.
But there's only so much any restaurant can do with breakfast! Eggs, waffles, pancakes... job done. Edited at 10:27 AM. |
