Tui Cancels flights

Just had a cancellation email from TUI. Due to fly out Oct 1st. I'm confused though as TUI are still selling holidays for Sept and Oct.


Update: I did a dummy booking for flights from MAN in Oct, they only seem to be flying on Tuesday and Friday now. My return flight was on Monday. I rang TUI and they confirmed it was my return flight that has been cancelled and I could rebook in Oct for different dates.

I'm going to wait until the weekend and have a little think before I make my next move.

Looking on their website they aren't flying til March 22 now.

Got our cancellation email earlier for 22nd September from Glasgow. Relieved to be honest that they didn’t keep us hanging on any longer. Going to take advantage of the 20% rebooking offer and try for March.

Just had my email too, i was booked for 10 October
Ironically, the States have their next border announcement in a day or two!

I just checked the TUI site and their update today doesnt state theyve cancelled USA up to 31st October. Im guessing there's a slip in communication somewhere

And i can see you can book holidays there in November and December but it's with Air Lingus

The only border announcement due is relating to the land Canada/Mexico border.

Ah i thought that it was the monthly travel update from the CBP, not exclusively to Canada and Mexico

Regardless, they wont be opening anytime soon. Theyre recording hundreds of thousands of delta infections each day, vaccinations have tailed off and masks are back on the agenda everywhere. Florida's ERs are 95% full i read this week

It appears they have cancelled all but three flights from Glasgow, of course mine is one of the three that remain.

As title says we have just had the email cancelling our Glasgow flight on the 13th. Gutted and delighted all at the same time!

We’re booked from Glasgow on the 11th September and there no sign of a cancellation yet 🤷
