Any bird spotters on here?
We saw this bird this morning and are having trouble identifying it.
I thought it was a jay at first but when we got closer we could see it is a bird of prey. We think it may be a kestrel but it doesn't quite match the pictures online. Any thoughts? |

Looks like a baby bird of prey to me. Was also going to say Kestrel. Sparrow hawk?

Thank you everyone. It had a friend which was also a bit fluffy. I was amazed at how close we were able to get before they flew off into a nearby tree.
