The food and green waste have the same van but with different sections.

Recycling comes on a Thursday, everything else on a Wednesday, so bins out only 2 mornings a week. I'll not put mine out if less than half full.

Caerphilly here as well -exactly the same as justacey

I’m in a London borough, we have to supply our own wheelie bins (bags) and recycling boxes, so they are what ever colour we like, our recycling is collected every other week as it our normal rubbish, we have to pay for garden waste to be collected as an annual fee

Orange sacks - paper and plastic recycling - collected weekly - many don’t seem to bother and just put out black sacks. We get a roll of orange sacks once every few months and have to visit a library to collect more.

We can put out cardboard that’s been flattened too.

We do have a green wheelie bin that we pay extra for, it’s for garden waste and is collected fortnightly. I’d say maybe 25% have these. We pay £52 per year. You can put garden waste in official borough green bags that you can buy from libraries at a cost of £5 for 10. Otherwise garden waste must be taken to the tip.

We’re in London borough of Havering.

I think we’re probably one of few places that don’t have bins supplied and still have weekly collections of all waste in black sacks.
Was going to say you must be same as is we’re in Hornchurch

I’m in East Yorkshire. Really interesting to see some having to pay for certain collections!

Green wheelie bin - general waste
Blue wheelie bin - recycling (cans, glass, paper, aerosol etc). We have 2 of these as we go through a lot of cat food tins…4 greedy chonks! No charge because it’s a recycling one
Brown wheelie bin - garden and food waste 🤮

We’ve stopped putting food waste out. They all get emptied fortnightly and it’s minging when the food bags decompose in the heat. It’s mainly cat food like tuna flakes and we’ve tried everything, but just attracts maggots. If it was collected weekly I’d probably give it another go.

*Caddy for food waste
*Clear bags for plastic waste including tetra pacs

We have a weekly collection but it's on a 2 week cycle. I have no idea which gets collected when, but my husband does an admirable job of organising it! Food caddy gets collected weekly.
Yes we can use the green box for textiles and electrical items but they are meant to be in separate plastic bags whereas aerosols we just leave in the green box with the cans and they are always collected. Have to admit think we have too many bins when you read about what some other councils are using.

Did see a report recently that the government want to standardise waste collections up and down the country. We will gain by having less bins and ds in Sheffield will be worse off as he has 3 bins.
