Our daughter has gone in today on a ‘ welcome / introduction ‘ day today .
They are doing some kind of treasure hunt presumably to get them familiar with all the different buildings etc

It’s a big day for her and the start of a ( scary for her ) new chapter

We are in Scotland but had a one hour slot where one person was allowed to help DS move his stuff in. After then it is meant to only be students but one of his flat mates has had her Mum in and another a friend as there is no way the few "staff" can easily enforce the rules given the campus is so spread out.

We are picking up keys and moving some boxes in with DS at Hull Uni tomorrow. He booked a 2 hr slot where we can park close to Halls. He had to book a ticket on line but didn't need to say how many people are going with him. Masks are mandatory in buildings and shared space there including his flatshare space such as kitchen and lounge area. He is coming home and going back again on Sat.

Ours says just one person I’ve just checked 🙀 we both intended on going with 9yr old ds ( I can’t get a babysitter)
my sons room is across the courtyard from the entrance and up 4 flights of stairs ,no lifts!
It’s gonna take the two of us !
We both moved ds1 in and that was hectic enough on the ground floor .
Oh eck this is stressful enough

Bath is only students in the accomodation... dd is not happy...

At Exeter last weekend, we had a half hour slot to unload and move the car from the small car park. All four of us were allowed in to help though and we stayed to help DD unpack, then took her for lunch. It was all very 'normal' thankfully and she has settled in really well!

We will mask up and go as planned see what happens.no different to being in a supermarket,nightclub,restaurant...

It’s a big day for them we both want to help him get settled.if his room is anything like my ds1 s was it will need a full ‘mum’ clean too x
