Calf tear

So today I've stupidly managed to tear my calf muscle 😭 oh my god the snap that came from it and the pain is excruciating, I'm now on crutches, told to rest with pain relief and to ring about physio 😭

I have sympathy for you.
I tore my calf at the end of May. I always thought people were exaggerating when they talked about muscles going "pop" but that's exactly what happened as I set off for a run, next thing I knew I was in a heap on the floor.
Unfortunately my NHS walk-in centre couldn't get me out of the door quick enough once they had made a diagnosis and given me a sheet with some suggested exercises on it. I contacted my GP, who had a record of my visit but weren't interested in doing anything more.
My calf cleared up after about 10 weeks, but I still have discomfort around my achilles, so my advice would be to make sure that you are getting good rehab for that area as well as the calf itself.

Been there. You have my sympathy. Took months to recover; would have recovered quicker from a broken leg. Sorry if I am being a bit pessimistic. Get well soon(ish).

I feel for you, I did mine a few days before Christmas a few years ago. Pain was awful and the bruising was spectacular
Hope you recover quickly x

I did my thigh muscle - as well as the general pain I couldn't sit on a chair for 3 weeks it hurt so much to touch
Epsom Salts baths help a lot - you need a kilo of salts and a very warm but not too hot bath
