Flying to Paris

I have had the email from British Airways earlier cancelling my flight to Paris in November.

I suppose it is not all bad news, I have been bumped onto an earlier flight but it is 7:15am. We will stay at the airport but this still feels really early to me. I have not flown to Europe for years, would this mean a 5:15am check in? Or earlier. Gulp.

The flight I had booked was a leisurely 11:45am.

We have been bumped to an earlier departure coming home. Not a problem but annoying.

Are you travelling hand luggage only?
BA, do online check in, straight to security. In normal times I would say you be fine with an hour but think 90 min would be sensible tbh.

No I will have hold luggage, I don’t travel light, I like options.

I had been dreading this message coming.

Tbh bag drop at T5 is fine. Check in closes 45 min before the flight. Short haul is from either A or B. Just depends on security.
I don’t like to be rushed so would go on the cautious side and aim for 90min.

I'm flying on the 14th, return 18th. My return has been changed to the one a couple of hours later. We're good with that! X

I just went to manage my booking and noticed my return is a couple of hours later too, I didn’t see that on the email. The new return time is the best alternative though as it is that or either 7am or 6pm.

The alternative on the way out is 3pm in the afternoon, I guess it would be better to just get there, although I wasn’t planning on doing much on arrival day as we have four full days anyway.

To be honest if the later one is easier, maybe go for that, and just have a relaxed first evening.
