Resort fees with debit card

Has anyone used a debit card in Vegas as I do not have a cc and thinking of using a debit card thanks

Yes, I had no problem with them accepting it. Just be aware that you lose a chunk of money this way as they take the money then it has to be refunded. So have the resort fees as extra to your spending money

Hi there yes I knew that but many thanks I was thinking of just useing the debit for the resort fee nothing else on the holiday thx again for your reply

Even if you only use it for resort fees they may run a holding deposit maybe $1k then close it out after your stay. One of the reasons I now use a CC in USA rather than a debit (which I do prefer using - generally)

As MF mentioned, it's the holding deposit that's the main concern. But I have managed to get this waived in the past by declining room charges so it was just the resort fee to pay on check-in.

I always use a credit card though and treat it as if it's a debit card, i.e. nothing goes on it unless I already have the funds to pay.
