Agree with this. The lady I got through to after an hour and a half on hold was lovely and really helpful. Just a shame it’s near impossible to get this far. I was on the phone for a really long time going through covid info ect tho so I’m not really suprised it takes so long😕

This isn’t new Act1980 - back in mid-August I had a real nightmare getting hold of BA (the holidays department I might add, the flight only team seemed to have much more capacity).

So firstly - is it holidays team or flight only? If it’s the holidays team you might find yourself further frustrated when you do get through to someone if they’re flight only as they won’t be able to help - even a lot of the social media response I had were ‘oh sorry, we can only deal with flight only’. The holidays team was a nightmare to get hold of - I didn’t even get to go on hold… was just cut off as the lines were too busy.

I realised this quite late on but if your friend is a BA club member - bronze, silver or gold - they have dedicated lines that they can call through on. I’m Silver and for whatever reason, when I dialled through on that number it automatically allowed me to hold for the holidays team and stuff got sorted.

I’m not a complainer - not by any stretch - and I know how difficult things have been for companies but the whole experience really put me off booking a BA holiday and I have to say that personally, I was dealt with much better by Virgin (clearly others mileage may vary).

This this this. I managed to get through to someone within 45 mins, and processed the changes. My signal dropped and I thought I was entering the cardiac arrest stage, but thankfully they called back.

Im away for a lie down now lol.

Also note, that if you get through and the recorded message says sales team will be with you shortly, don't worry it's sales and service. Now that I think about it, any holiday amended query could be attempted through the sales line? I'd give it a go if you're struggling. Think it's option 2 at the first set of options.

God it’s almost more stressful when you actually get through for fear of accidentally cutting them off. That phone went everywhere with me while I was on chat bot to the holidays team. And I mean every room in the house… iykwim 😝
