Wildlife friendly climbers for a fence?
We have put three wooden arches (flat-topped) alongside a plain fence which is not ours so we are unable to attach anything to it. The earth has been dug over. There is a lot of space to fill, as there is space at each end, the legs of the arches are 1 metre apart and the spaces between the arches is about a metre and a quarter. It is all west facing. Please can we have some suggestions for wildlife friendly climbers. Thinking of some winter interest we are wondering about evergreen honeysuckle. Maybe ivy as this will give us berries late in the season. And also some climbers with flowers for the bees ? We have started at one end with a purple buddleia next to the first arch and that's it so far. Thank you.
