Extended points , now told different

We have a Dec use year so our extended points come beginning of December told when I phoned to cancel our trip there that if we wanted to transfer to rci it would need to be done by 31st October that was after being told we had until may

Today I phoned to book July 2022, very helpful CM who said would you like me to go over your 2019 extended points

I said yes , that would be helpful, cut a long story short re the rci she said I would have until 45 days prior to the may deadline to transfer

Talk about confusing, I was all set to try and rent and if I had surplus I couldn’t rent by the deadline I would transfer to rci , to be told no October , now told today had until end April

Hmmm not surprised you're Saratoska, it sounds like good news but I guess it depends on your UY -

It's two different stories for what are essentially two different sets of points. If you want to transfer your existing Dec use year points into RCI this would be done 45 days before they expire on Nov 30th. If you do nothing and let these points expire they will be replaced by some June use year (probably Riv resort) points around the 10th of Dec. If you don't use these for DVC they would have to be transferred into RCI 45 days before 31st May.
