CNN no longer available on Virgin TV after 31st August

Not sure if this has been posted but from what I have read it says that due to WarnerMedia's plans to move to a subscription model for the CNN news channel it will no longer be available on Virgin TV after the 31st August. It also popped up on the CNN channel when I was watching it saying that it will no longer be available after 31st August.

This is one channel that I will miss as I watch it quite a lot.

Totally agree. Rather watch them than our own. Great shame!

Will miss Anderson Cooper!

I like Anderson as well as a few others, it really is a shame that it's going from Virgin TV.

I read somewhere that it will still be available for Sky TV for the foreseeable future. If that's true I can't work it out why it's available for one but not the other but there must be some reason for it that I am missing.

Just found a link.

That's a shame.
CNN election coverage is excellent.

We watch it a lot with Virgin as well, in fact we have it on now to watch the president talking about Kabul
It is annoying how Virgin can just do this

I hope SKy don’t switch away from showing it - one reason I will stick with Sky is CNN (and sky atlantic)

I didn't even know it was available on Virgin so I won't be missing it. I thought the only people who watched CNN were people stuck at airports. That is what an American colleague told me.
