Seats right at the back of the plane

I see some dibbers mention, for a couple, they prefer the pairs of seats right at the back of a wide-bodied jet so they are not stuck in a row of 3 trying to get out and disturbing someone or being disturbed.

What's it like flying there? Do you feel more turbulence? I'm not bothered about being served food last, as we'll probably take a picnic. Do folk lean on your seat when waiting for the loo? Can you hear the loos? Also not bothered about getting off last (There's a chance they will open the back door anyway as no air bridges at Grand Cayman)

Have to admit we would normally travel up front, but due to a combination of kind of fixed dates, Christmas prices and being on a budget, we have used a companion voucher and avios and could only get Economy out and PE return. Obviously I am keeping my eye out for more upgraded seats being released. It just more important that we get there on that date, than how we get there.

It's a BA Boeing 777.

We love those seats! One downside is getting off last, but it doesn’t make enough of a difference in the grand scheme of things. I order a veggie meal so get mine first, and OH may not have had his first choice of food, but he hasn’t gone hungry either. No felt any more turbulence than anywhere else on the plane, but I can guarantee there’s some when I’m trying to have a drink!

Have had the occasional person pull on my seat, but that happens no matter where you are and people queuing for the loo hasn’t bothered me. Don’t think you’re allowed to queue at the moment anyway but that may change.

We’d much prefer to sit as a two, and if we can’t get those, then we sit in 2 of the 4 in the middle.

We have had those seats several times now. They are fine - nobody behind you so you can recline. We much prefer a row of two.

Safest seats on the plane. I've never heard of an aircraft reversing into a mountain!

But I’ve heard of them whacking their tail of the ground on takeoff

I have definitely noticed more turbulence at the back which is why I don’t pick those seats any more. Done it twice and that was enough!

We like them but not always easy to get as sometimes reserved for crew

It saves anyone sat next to you,and they are a long flight! I go for them every time. Been sat next to to many numpties in the past (plus no one kicking your seat for 8 hours, again experience from long haul! )
