Three introduce roaming charges
The Dibb favourite way of calling home from abroad, Three, are introducing roaming charges, £2 per day for EU and £5 per day for USA, starting May 23 2022.

Only reason why I stuck with them, the signal is not the best, will probably look at another network next year now when my contract is up.
V annoying as the wifi in the parks can be spotty and it was nice to have the freedom to use my phone without a big bill

And there goes half their customers.
I'm only with 3 for Go Roam in the US and Aus which I've used a lot over the years, they're no different to any other network locally. I actually switched off them during lockdown as my local signal isn't the best, had just switched back (not on contract though) preparing for travel next year. So will be looking around at the competition now. Edited at 09:26 AM. |

Bad news for me in the Isle of Man too... cheaper than local operators... but not when roaming charging introduced.
Good bye 3 !

Does anyone have a link to this, could not find anything on google
edit found it moneysavingexpert/ne..om-may-2022/ If you're on a good deal and will still be on it next year, and you're going to Europe in 2022, it is worth simply letting your deal roll on. Three has confirmed that you can let a contract roll on indefinitely and avoid these fees. But remember to check what's best to do when your contract's term is up, if you're currently tied in, as you may be able to get it cheaper, even after factoring in roaming fees.
