Margaritaville resort
Have any Dibbers stayed here?
I’d like to hear your thoughts. I’m wondering how easy it is to get to and from the parks from here. We won’t have a car this time so I’m happy to Uber but not multiple trips each day! When we are onsite, DS can be a later riser than us and just come and join us when he’s ready. I’m thinking this isn’t so easily done when offsite. I’m seriously considering this place though The accommodation looks lovely and it’s much cheaper than Disney. Edited at 01:51 PM. |

I haven't stayed so don't have experience of the resort but if you're not park open to close people and don't want to make multiple Uber trips per day, I wouldn't recommend most off-site hotels as the shuttles aren't frequent enough. Looking specifically at Margaritaville's schedule, they only have a couple of shuttles morning and evening to TTC and only a single shuttle to the other parks.
If you need more frequent shuttles, I would look at the official partner resorts. I know pre-Covid, the Disney Springs area hotels had shuttles every half an hour all day. And Swan & Dolphin are on the Boardwalk so excellent location for getting around property. All should be cheaper than the equivalent tier Disney property, although S&D has been increasing in price. disneyholidays/wal...artner-hotels/ |

Yes, I think they're capitalising on being included in the deluxe benefits! I haven't seen as much increase in the Disney Springs area hotels though, and they get the same benefits as moderate resorts.

we had originally planned on staying there in a cottage that we were to rent via a local company called Casiola. We decided to cancel as we didnt think the border would open in time for 26th October.
I would have loved to stay there as there is so many walkable restaurants and facilities. Our accommodation didnt come with access to the main pool etc but we werent that bothered as it had its own wee one and we didnt have to pay a resort fee. the company was great to deal with, they took a deposit and when I cancelled I got it back in full within 48hrs. I would have no hesitation going to them again, casiola/booking/results.cfm?page=22 |

Sunset Walk is right in front of the resort on 192. There are numerous restaurants there and in the surrounding area. The Rolling Oaks Shopping Plaza with a Target is right next door. There is also a Publix across from that.
You can actually see Animal Kingdom Lodge from that part of 192 especially now that they have cleared more trees. You can not walk because the road is not direct and makes a long hairpin. However it shows just how close Disney is by UBER. AK is a ten minute drive. The other parks are further but no hotel can be close to all of them.
