Very poor service.
And to a previous answer in this thread NO I do not complain after waiting for 5 minutes, that would of been a blessing!
So still not resolved with BA and it is now 1947
Sadly this echoes our experience. There are many posts saying to just call, just use the chat facility, but the reality is it takes a lot of determination or luck maybe(?) to get a result. Makes an already tense situation all the more painful

He's tried calling over 20 times this morning with no luck. If he can't get hold of anyone by tomorrow then they automatically issue a voucher. Not good!

Having worked briefly on live chat (not for an airline), I genuinely wouldn’t use them but sit it out on the phones.
When you are on the phone the agent is giving you 100% attention. Live chat they are dealing with multiple chats on multiple screens at the same time , it’s very fast moving and easier to make errors especially when it’s mega busy and the queries are complicated.
I think my record was twenty simultaneous chats (some were people taking ages to reply ) it’s a mind melt.

Not sure if this is helpful or not, but we got through twice on 0344 493 0747 at about 8pm on Monday and Tuesday to discuss new flight options and eventually booked last night with them. We only waited about 10 mins in the queue, if that

Is this for the flights team or holiday?

From my experience the flight team have more available resource, whereas the holiday team are overloaded.

My rage has hit a new level today. Waited 90 minutes on the chat, got someone and they are saying the chat hasnt routed my query correctly and that I need to end the chat and try again with the holiday team. Tried that and its not recognising anything. FML.

I’ve tried the 0800 number and it lets you wait on hold whereas the 0344 number is cutting me off at the moment. Didn’t wait it out on hold we don’t quite have time at the moment! Will try again later :/
