Dining plan
Hi all,
Do we think the dining plan will eventually come back? Would be amazing to think so! Hoping it does to book next April for the following year once the deals are announced. Happy planning 😁😁 |

They've already confirmed the paid version is coming back, but no timeline. Restaurants are still running limited capacity and are understaffed, so think it'll be a few months away still.
No idea if free DDP will return. Plenty of people booking without it, so they may not see the need. |

God I hope so.
I am praying for free DDP but with Chapek at the helm, I’m not optimistic. We’d have to stay at ASM and buy the DDP or stay off site and buy food OOP. |

Well 2 parts to your question :
1. They have already confirmed "paid for" plans will be back 2. Free Dining however, I think optimistically not before 2024 Bookings if it all. There is nothing in Disney's current direction that points to them giving anything away for "FREE"! IYKWIM If the dining credit thing is working, why give away more than they have to? SD

Best case IMO is being able to upgrade your free dining to DDP by paying the difference.
I think there is more chance of getting free genie passes that cost them zero than giving away all that food again. |

paid dining plan will return, when is anyones guess. The current deal is "free" dining credits, a very poor amount of dining credits too. Whether you will be able to "upgrade" free credits to a dining plan remains to be seen but when you are only getting a few hundred dollars this will be an expensive proposition on a long trip.
