Congrats! So, where will you be visiting in California? 😃

I am so happy for all my UK friends getting to finally make their travel plans for real. 👏🏻👏🏻

Hi Aims
I am going backwards and forwards over what do do as our original August 20 trip was 18 nights ending with 5 nights in San Diego. Now we have a gorgeous dog that will be staying with family whilst we are away, we only want to do 14 nights max.
We are thinking……

Flying into San Jose airport
2 nights in Santa Cruz
3 nights Monterey
2 Nights Madonna inn
4 nights around Santa Monica/Venice area (will use as a base for exploring Coastline and drive to Burbank for Universal from here)
3 nights Anaheim
Fly home from LAX

Or

Fly into and out of LAX
3 nights Anaheim
2 nights Burbank
2 nights Madonna inn
3 nights Santa Monica area
4 nights SAN Diego

Sticking with August, with two kids 11 & 10

I understand that most people would skip the Santa Monica part and stay elsewhere, bit we really love the area and we don’t mind driving to get to places

Can you offer any advice on this?

Well, of course I love the plan with you visiting San Diego at the end, but Monterey is beautiful too. I think it will have to come down to what you would miss seeing the most- Monterey or San Diego. 😊
