Oh wow! So maybe they were Economy Classic seats instead of Light, way too many people have them to be a glitch - nice one AF . Any chance you can take a screenshot of the seat pitches left available please? I cant check for another 4 days . So sorry you couldnt get exit row seats, esp for your tall DH!. Think you've done the best bet of having the 2 seats at the back, maybe some one will offer an alternative xx
Srhood - Im not too clued up on codeshares myself, this is the first one ive booked. I think big companies like VA are doing these 'codeshare' flights with other providers (AF,DELTA etc) to offer more Transatlantic flights. Im sure someone else can help more x Edited at 08:23 AM. |

The airlines operate in groups. Air France and Virgin are in the same group. They sell each others flights. So we have gone on to Air France, bought a ticket with an Air France code of say AF123. But it is "operated by Virgin". So after that point you are then with Virgin. You check in on Virgins site, go to their desk, fly on their plane etc.
Called codeshare as the flight has different codes, so VS27 is the virgin code, AF123 (or whatever it os) is the AF code, but the same Virgin plane. BA and AA often have codeshares as well. On amy flight, just click the flight info amd it usually tells you these details. Cheap flights... start with skyscanner, look every day. When cheap flights pop up, book them, they dont last long. These AF ones were there for only 7 days. |

I booked 8-22nd Feb without baggage, just logged in now onto Virgin and can see we have economy classic rather than light (yeah!) but I can't seem to choose seats or any specialist meals. There is the option but when I click on it, it says 'This flight is provided by another airline. You'll need to contact them directly to select your seat.' How did you choose seats? Thanks

Edit:
Actually BA (codeshare) are still doing flights cheap, and they've dropped price by quite a lot . [/QUOTE] The only problem with the flights shown here is that when you actually try to book them, flysharp don’t have any! They are still showing cheap fares on sky scanner today, but have no availability. I’ll have to keep looking and hoping.
