There are signs telling you to wear a mask on the tube / train but only about 30% of people were wearing one. Didn’t see anyone being asked to put in their mask in the stations.

clearly says

Face coverings
Face coverings must be worn for the full duration of journeys on the TfL network, including inside our stations and bus stations.

We were in London 3 weeks ago and there are signs up in all the Tube Stations to say you should wear them. Only about half the folk were actually wearing them, and generally folk not wearing masks were younger than us (we're retired). We didn't hear any announcements or see anyone challenged.

To be honest, even if we are told we can stop using masks in Scotland, in London I would still use one, especially in the tube, as it's so crowded.

We went to the theatre and by the interval, there were 4 people in the theatre wearing masks - us and the two Japanese girls sitting next to us. Fortunately we came home unscathed.

Enjoy we saw it on Thursday, DD absolutely loved it!

They also requested masks were worn at the theatre, myself and DH did once we’d finished our drinks, but I don’t really know how many did, certainly the Chinese family next to me did, but apart from that I’m not sure, but we were on the back row.

We are in London now and it feels like many people are wearing masks on the Tube but certainly not everyone.

Very few masks in the Theatre and our covid passes weren’t checked either.

I live in London and maybe only go on the tube a couple of times a week, but have generally found it to be about 75-80% compliance with masks.

It was less on Friday night though - probably when they were needed most as it was busier with people heading on nights out.

We are here too. We have noticed many more people wearing masks than at home. They have virtually disappeared in our local area. There again people in our home town weren’t that compliant with them during lockdown.

Yes they should be worn but many do not. For me being underground in a relatively small space is a good time to wear on personallynot only because of COVID but also colds, flu etc.
