We never eat desserts at Xmas so I’ve not bothered this year. Usually we end up with a slab of sticky toffee pudding in the freezer for months after.
You just know we’ll want one now…
Worst case we could make a baked Alaska.
OH and DS said trifle.
Trifle is too much faff to make all the components, plus it takes up too much fridge space

Now become a tradition that every year we make Delia’s Christmas trifle, will also have a Xmas pudding in case anyone wants that and we also have the old faithful vienetta in the freezer as well

I’m making vanilla panna cotta with raspberry coulis. Not too heavy after dinner

We have to cook for 12 so I never make my own dessert.
We always have a mandarin cheesecake, arctic roll, vienetta and either a strawberry gateaux or pavlova.

Vienetta, of course.

I might really push the boat out - it is Christmas after all - and splash the cash on one of these in additon to the original variety I already have safely stowed in the freezer:

We have a normal one as I made the mistake of when I saw the Yule log one of not getting it at the time 😭
I love the biscuit one but only seems to appear once a year or so

My favourite dessert is cheese and biscuits and I'd never have room to fit any more food in after Christmas dinner. Emily Atack had cheese and biscuits as her starter when she was on I'm A Celeb and that was a game changer!

Dessert is now a choice of cheesecake, black forest gateaux or profiteroles. But much later in the day!
