Well hubby tested positive for COVID Christmas Eve so couldn't go to my family Christmas day or his family boxing day. We'd obvs not planned to be at home over Christmas so I thought it was just going to be the two of us with no prezzies or food in to make a dinner. Thankfully my brothers and sisters came to the rescue doorstep dropping our prezzies on Christmas Eve then same on Christmas day with a dinner!

Step daughter and partner tested positive for Covid on Boxing Day after being pinged by NHS, which means step son and wife and our grandchildren can’t travel from Lincoln today to spend a few days with us.
Christmas has been postponed until middle of January.

Xmas Eve about 9.30 in the middle of watching home alone and eldest child who is 7 says I feel sick. I’m running through all the things she’s ate and it’s not been that much today thinking we are going to have a big dinner on Xmas day.
5 mins later youngest who is 6. I feel sick. I am so so glad we have a new house with three toilets. My poor little babies were sick all night. One slept a while the other was sick. Both managed to go to sleep at 5am. They were so poorly but could see Santa had taken the stocking but they didn’t even bother to find it like usual. They were curled up on the sofa all day. Didn’t play with any toys and had toast for their dinner. We had frozen pizza for Xmas dinner. It’s one of the worst Christmas we’ve had. I just wish it had been me rather than them. What a time to get a sickness bug. |
