New York and Toronto hotels for a family of four - with 2 teens
Hi
We are planning a stay in NY and Toronto via BA in July 2022. I have found some good flights on BA however I am struggling for hotels in either city as I can't seen to find any which are not the two doubles set up per room. I presume that when I enter 4 people into the BA hotel search and it comes up with a 2 x double room it is expecting that we will all four be in 2 doubles? My teens really don't want to share with each other, or a parent (I dont blame them! ). Can any one give any hotel suggestions which either have a double plus a bunk/twins or even 4 singles please. Many Thanks C x |

C , we stayed at BW Hospitality House 145East 49th St when we visited with our teens . They are apartments either 1 or 2 bed , the lounge has a sofa bed so can easily accommodate your needs . There is a full kitchen which is great and breakfast is included, you don’t have to eat in the breakfast room as they provide trays that you can bring down to bring food back , there is a dining area in the apartment too . We found it gave us all space and would totally recommend if you have teens

We stayed at Home2 Suites in Long Island City. The room has 2 doubles and a sofa bed and a kitchenette and included breakfast. It was right near the subway station and only 2 stops from Central Park.
For Toronto have you looked at an airbnb?

We stayed in the Broadway Plaza Hotel in a junior suite. It was 2 double beds and also a double sofa bed. I shared with daughter and husband/ son had a double each. It was a huge room for the 4 of us. The room had a great view of the Empire State Building, next to a subway station and a couple of stops from Times Square. The hotel provided a free help yourself continental breakfast which you took back to your room on a tray. The hotel has also had a refit since we stayed there. We were very happy with it.

I've booked the Hampton Inn Manhattan Grand Central. We're a family of 5 so we book two interconnected rooms. Everyone gets a bed and there's two bathrooms which makes life easier with teens!

You can probably get a suite type room with two beds and a sofa bed. Look up places with suites in the name. Also Hyatt place, Fairfield inn, Spring Hill suites, residence inn, embassy suites, Hampton inns. They normally have suites.

We were in Toronto in 2019 with then 23 yr old niece and 19 yr old nephew. We rented an apartment in 300 Front St W through AirBnB. There was one bedroom, an enclosed “den” off the living room with a double bed and a double sofa bed, so we all had our own space. Our balcony on 35th floor overlooked CN Tower. Loved it!
