DCL onboard account query

Next cruise, I will have an onboard credit from a previous placeholder, as well as a couple of Disney giftcards from ATD (if I haven’t spent them already in WDW). As my various credit and debit cards have foreign currency charges I will endeavour to avoid this by paying in some $ cash onboard. (I have a buyback deal on currency).

I seem to recall that they drawdown every time the account reaches $500 but wonder if there is a pecking order of them using up the money credited to the account? Hopefully they use them in the order of OBC, gift cards, cash, lodged CC.

(My last cruise I had paid in dollars to cover the likely spend but a bingo win and a cancelled excursion meant they gave me dollars back on the last day).

OBC definintely goes first but I'm not 100% sure on the giftcard vrs cash side. I would assume gift card then cash but maybe someone can confirm? I haven't ended up using a gift card as spent them all at Disney
