Some old ‘travel’ books

I bought these about 10 years ago at a car boot. I just thought they were really different.

The man who I bought them off said he’d collected them for years (I think the oldest here is about 60s).

But what’s even better, is that I have found little snippets of newspaper clippings of things relevant to each country that he’d kept in each book.

Thought some of you travellers would be interested in seeing them 😍

Fascinating, I love stuff like that , just seeing a book with Ceylon on the cover makes you realise how the world used to be

I know - it’s amazing isn’t it.

The newspaper clippings are a great little addition too - little things about each country. I must take them all out and have a proper look. I bought the books and then pretty much put them to one side as I didn’t want to damage them.

Ooh I love these ,I’m a papercrafter and make journals out of old books using this sort of thing
