NI dibbers flying from Dublin - who for tests?

Tests definitely need to be supervised. We are planning on using Randox at the City airport on our way down to Dublin the day before.

When we travelled in December we got our tests at Randox at the International Airport (we live in the North West), a nervous wait but we had the results by the time we reached Newry on the way to Dublin airport.

I know that if we fly from the USA to UK there are no tests now.

Are there still tests required to fly back to Ireland?

No, the pre-departure was scrapped too at the same time as UK one. I’m flying from Dublin in a few weeks to Venice so this is great! Although I still need pre-departure test to enter Italy.

I’m planning to use Official Rapid Tests website they advertise as approved for USA travel it’s cheap £19, used them before but not for USA. My only worry is I don’t think it’s a video call - you register via app and then record yourself taking the sample and upload video to them and ate the end upload pic with your result. Slightly worried if this is def ok

Not sure about that tbh. Might be grand. I’m on the fence between booking with breathe assured (video) or going to one of the Belfast airports which is hassle but atleast your on site and it can be sorted.

If you’re not sure then maybe contact them to get confirmation that it qualifies as a supervised test.
Randox have testing centres at both NI airports and in Enniskillen for supervised tests, results available within 3 hours. If you are flying from Dublin there is a drive through testing centre just south of the airport.
I know a few other dibbers have used Breathe Assured and other test providers for supervised tests at home, this is the first time I’ve heard of the one you’ve mentioned (doesn’t mean they aren’t equally as good).

Has anyone made anymore progress with this - breathe assured, Qured and DocHQ provide tests when flying from UK. Randox supervised make your select departing from UK.

From what I can see Randox N. Ireland is for travel from UK also

Only options are V1 medical (not in Dublin airport) and Randox Dublin Airport which provides response within 1-3 hours

Any advice here this is driving me up the wall

I’m still using Randox for ours. Going to call at the city airport the day before we fly & get the results within an hour. Was going do click & collect but that option isn’t supervised. Hopefully they scrap the testing so I’m definitely not booking anything till a few days before we fly. We fly with AL from Dublin in 46 days!
