Good Luck to all the new uni students starting this year and others returning after the last Covid year. This year will be better, dd moved into her new house for her second year at Southampton and had Korean bbq food and a few drinkies and was throwing up and is in bed now! Last year she hardly socialised and didn’t drink alcohol, she was much happier when we left her yesterday. I hope all uni students settle in well and live their best lives!

Welcome week starts next week for DD and she will get paired up with a Fresher buddy. I think they have lots of things planned for them.

She can't wait for lectures to start and be back. She had a lovely year 3 buddy when she started as a fresher so is looking forward to her fresher to look after. I think its a lovely idea that Freshers have someone to look to for advice or help other than the Uni.

Im booking ds his bus back to Manchester, hes getting too comfy back home LOL, he is waning a bit in the enthusiasm dept, but this is her 3rd year so hopefully once he is back he gets a more normal year that last, which was honestly a bit of a farce

My daughter goes on Friday morning so I am up to my eyes with washing all her new stuff ! She also wants to take every item of clothing she owns which is a car full in itself 🙄

The car was laden up, then another £100 spent in Sainsbury’s whist there, dh wanted to take the van she had so much stuff! That girl has skint us, I got mummy do you have any pocket money so I gave her my last £80!

DD goes on Saturday for her first year. She’s only moving about 40 miles away so far enough to be independent, but close enough that she can easily pop home if she wants to or for us to pop and see her. I’m really excited for her, but also know I will cry like a baby after we leave her.
