Hi Kevin

Some good photos there, I think your composition is coming on, evidenced by the second video.

A few things I’d suggest:

- Rule of thirds. It’s often better to think of the picture split into 3 equal sections, and think about the main subject focus of the photo being in one of the thirds either side of the centre. You are doing this on some of your cat photos.
- Not sure what camera you have but if it has the ability to change its aperture, think about high F stops- say 1.2, or 1.8 if that is available on camera. This gives you the ability to really show depth of field, and blur the backgrounds around your subjects. If your camera has aperture priority try putting it on that, dialling open the aperture as open as it will go (lower the number more open it is and more light it lets in, but the focusing area is shallower, meaning background more blurred).
- Think about getting closer to subjects, unusual angles and levels. For example, those sunflowers in the first slide film were to me crying out for some low photos, with an open aperture, for shallow depth of field. You did a great job on this on the one with the cat in the basket at 1.58, I think that may be your best shot yet.
- Think about some post processing. If you are doing this on a tablet or phone, Snapseed is brilliant and free.

Most importantly keep it up!

Ok you may struggle with aperture sizes, but it may have a portrait mode which artificially puts in a similar effect?
