I pad advice
Can anyone advise on buying an I pad.
I'm buying g for my son for Christmas he wants the standard I pad with 256gb. That's where my knowledge ends. Is there an advantage buying direct from apple? |

I am certainly no expert on this. However we tend to buy from John Lewis as that way you get a free 2 year warranty as opposed to the normal 1 year everywhere else.
Plus I see they are currently doing trade in offers as well. I never trade mine in as they get passed down to the Grandchildren.

I bought mine from John Lewis. The Apple store are great for advice (I went once or twice when I first bought one). They don’t ask where you bought it.

Look at refurbed items directly from Apple. They are as new and a fair bit cheaper.
Specific items are not always available. I would never but a new Apple item if I could get what I want from their refurbished shop. |

Agree with this. I no longer buy Apple products but used to have a full kit, all came from refurb. Almost always new in box, usually comes from cancelled/returned orders. Although it looks like they've currently only got the pro models in stock rather than standard.

Thanks for the advice. The refurbs look good but only have the pro at the moment I'll keep checking.
Christmas was so much cheaper pre teenage years when a new toy would do. |
