Removal of clear mastic on window

Not being a master tradesman, i did some work outside recently and got a line of clear mastic on my bathroom window. Dont ask how

Scrape as I do and windowline as I rub, a thin layer seems welded on and wont budge.

Any clues how best to remove from the glass surface?

Meths on an old rag. Then blade it off when it gets soft.

Smells nice as well.

Worst case scenario you can gun on Mastic remover that melts it.

Cheers Tom, yes I fancy making it soft first as this would be easier in the long run, and I am leaning out an upstairs window like a loony.

Never heard of mastic remover.., I suppose Srewfix is my friend?

I use the tube stuff, basically the same style tube as the Mastic so you can put it in your Mastic frame and gun it over the original.
