Rediscovering forgotten music….
From your younger days.
So I spent my teenage/early 20s in the late 80s and early 90s and while there’s loads of radio coverage of this period it’s often same songs/bands but every now and then it’s nice to go back listen to stuff you don’t hear much now. At the moment I’ve started listening to KLFs ‘The White Room’ album and The Pogues ‘Rum, S*d*my and The Lash’. Loved them at the time and loving them now. Also brings back more specific memories than the ubiquitous popular stuff played on Absolute 80s etc |

I love this era too but haven't tried specific albums. Need to give it a try.
I tend to ask for 80s pop or 80s rock on Alexia and skip what I don't like DD was doing covers in music in school this week. We ended up listening to Tracey Chapman which was a nice throw back. |

I am older. Its been interesting to listen to some of the music I grew up with. Bands I saw live but forgot. Bands who only had a couple of albums. Some I find I still enjoy others I wonder what I saw in them.
In no particular order The Web Greenslade Boxer Crawler Moon PFM Steve Hillage Jobriath Automatic Man the list goes on. I have rebought of of the vinyl I owned at the time. Equally I have found the world in indie Scottish music from the 80s in particular James Grant or the Bathers. My kids really don't understand me. |
