My mum put the hob on low and puts washing up liquid and some hot water in the pan and leaves it to bubble away and break up food as she eats dinner. Works a treat

I have a small tefal pan thats non stick for scrambling eggs on induction hob, I still add nice knob of butter then I just soak it with bit of fairy liquid and warm water.

Now I want scrambled eggs

A dab of Astonish paste on a damp paper towel generally does the job. Scrape with a butter knife first. Stainless steel will take a lot of abuse - my pans are over 20 years old and several times had stuff burnt on to them. Soak, scrape, Astonish and they come up like new

Steep in hot water first and it releases most and then only gentle was and save clogging the dishwasher

I always soak them in cold water - not hot for eggs, dairy etc as that bakes the residue on even more. Then use a dish brush to clean big bits off and pop in the dishwasher.

I use cold water too as it seems to work better.

One tip for keeping SS shiny, is to use Bar Keepers Friend. It is amazing for getting SS back to new.

I’ve been married nearly 33 years and had my SS pans as a wedding present. I use them every day, they’ve been though dishwashers, scrubbed with green pads etc and they are still fine. I really don’t think you can wreck a stainless steel pan.
