First DVC stay - things to do

Hi guys,
In about a week we will (hopefully) be checking in to our first DVC stay at the Poly, I know there are less DVC perks but I was wondering if there is any must do's that we can still do?

Cheers

You can go to Epcot Lounge, which is pretty good. Doesn’t open until 11 now though. Also take ID. This assumes you have blue card (bought enough points direct).

I think one of the first things we did on our first DVC stay was go in the resort shop and buy some of the DVC specific merch 😀

Attend top of the world Lounge at Bay lake

The DVC lounge at Epcot

I think there is also 1 at Disney springs

When there look into an Owners locker and you can leave stuff in USA rather than bring every trip like Kettle -plugs - ponchos, etc

Totw still is not open unfortunately (they opened for 2 night at New Year only). Some speculate Disney will transform it into a paid for space now.
No DVC lounge at Disney Springs unfortunately.

Cheers guys, all your responses are much appreciated.

There is a few things there but as a resale owner it does limit things a bit.

You are resale? Basically there’s not much ‘special’ you can do otherwise go and enjoy the resort you paid for at cheap prices. As you’ll gather from the thread, there’s not many ‘perks’ at all from being a direct owner. Going at peak times we don’t even get a discount on an annual pass anymore - assuming they were selling them. Basically the perks are 10% off food at most table service. So don’t worry. And if they ever do reopen Top of the World lounge, you could get in that as a resale owner. That is worth a visit as stated above if it ever reopens (not convinced it will, too much money to be made charging Americans hundreds to attend special drinks evenings etc).
