Swim shoes? Yes absolutely or hell no?
Ok so the hubby and I love swimming and are really looking forward to the water parks and discovery cove... Should we get swim shoes? I'm not looking forward to donning a cossie at the best of times and think I might feel like a pleb with them on... would other people be wearing them too? help! lol x

Absolutely recommended, some of the surfaces are a little rough in the water parks (not sure about DC) and swim shoes are good investment, we got ours for £5.99 from sports and soccer (Sports Direct)and others for <$10 at Walmart last holiday.
Just to get a pair for DW in Wallmart, the other 6 of us, all sorted.

yes in DC the bottom of the pools etc are not smooth plus in the heat you need footwear.

Yes, the first time that we went (before knowing about the Dibb) none of our family wore them and we all ended up with really sore soles of the feet. The ground gets very hot and the bottoms of the pools can be very rough.

Swim shoes for kids are essential in water parks. No way I wearing them though. It was fine.

Yes definately. Tried them for the first time last year and me and DH loved them. Kids wouldn't wear them though.

100% yes. They cost next to nothing in those big sports retail shops.

Definitely would recommend them for the water parks as the floors in there are uneven and you can cut for feet open very easily as DD found out last time when she decided to take her shoes off at Blizzard Beach and cut her foot on the floor in the main pool. Ive got to say though that you can probably get the cheaper in the UK in places such as Sports Soccer. We got them in Walmart last time but to be honest they were cheaper at home.

Yes! Whenever I've been the floors have been red hot and the floor for the Roa Rapids at Aquatica for example are not very smooth! I would just buy some cheap ones and then at least you have them if you need them.
