Beach Parking
Hi guys,
We're looking at doing a night down the St.Petersburg area. So driving down the first day then going to Fort De Soto park. The next day we are looking at maybe St.Petes beach. Where is there to park and costs please? Or any recommendation of beaches with good parking, toilets etc please? |

You won’t be disappointed with Fort DeSoto. In my opinion the greatest place on Earth. Be sure to take a walk down both piers as there are normally plenty of dolphins to see. I can also highly recommend grabbing a bite to eat from the shop at the start of the Gulf Pier. Sitting under the parasols looking out into the Gulf watching the world go by is heavenly.

The bottom end of St Pete Beach is Pass a Grille.
Head for there and there is parking on the street and small car parks. |

St Pete Beach itself is beautiful with stunning sunsets if you’re there at that time.
There is public beach access with parking, toilets, boardwalks etc at 4700 Gulf Boulevard in between Gulf Strand Resort and Dolphin Beach Resort. Sorry I’m not sure of the cost as we stay there. You can go in the sea and get quite far out and only be waist high as there are lots of sandbanks... its a nice place to wallow 😂 and chat to everyone. We like the area as it’s so laid back but with plenty of facilities as we hate carting everything to the beach. There are plenty of shops, restaurants, Publix along the Boulevard or walk along the beach to Bongos Beach bar below Grand Plaza...the chicken caesar wrap is amazing and would feed a family. Treasure Island and Johns Pass Village are further up the Clearwater end and Pass-a-grille beach the other way. |
